Our Programme
We offer placements to trainee teachers following a university-led training programme. This programme leads to a Secondary PGCE with QTS. More information about this route can be found here at Get Into Teaching GOV.UK.
Stockport School takes pride in supporting the development of new teachers across Cheshire and Greater Manchester. We work in partnership with the Manchester Institute of Education at The University of Manchester, the Faculty of Education at Edge Hill University and The School of Education at The Manchester metropolitan University.

Finance
If you secure a place with the university tuition fees are payable, these fees are paid directly to the University in a series of instalments across the academic year. There are several different funding options available to support you with these payments.
You may be eligible for a tax-free bursary or scholarship to support your training. These funding streams are dependent on the phase/subject in which you are training your qualifications.
